Lamb korma was amazing and delicious! Authenic flavors and enjoyable atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and try again. Food Allergy friendly, knowledgeable and care as I am gluten and dairy free! Go try it for your self!
I got the butter chicken and it was like tomato soup with very few pieces of chicken. The rice was just plain sushi rice not even seasoned or the correct basmati rice. I also got cheese and garlic naan. Both were wet and soggy. The chicken lollipops were ok tasted a bit like soggy general tsos. I actually threw it all out. Will not go back here. Palace of Asia is WAYYYY better.
Noticed a change in quality of food. Bhindi Masada included about 1/4c of inedible pods - woody straw. Other than that disappointment, the flavors, appearance, and requested heat level were spot on. This time, the lamb kabob was leather-like and inedible. Likely just overcooked. The samosas were okay. Noted no cashews in filling; mostly potato. The garlic Naan was fantastic - fresh and soft. I still give them a 4 rating hoping this experience a one off. Will definitely try them again.
Really cool Indian Restaurant... The staff was very friendly and helpful, I got the Chicken Vin da loo, & garlic Naan. I ordered the Vin da loo, Extra spicy, I absolutely was impressed! It was exactly as I hoped it would be, & that is literal Fire 🔥! The spice was awesome! I was very happy with everything! The place is well located... Parking may be problematic on weekends & Special occasions(Keep that in mind). It's a fairly small seating area, that seemed well lit, but cozy. I do hope to post pictures at some point. If you are in Merchantville, stop by... You won't regret it!
My wife and I were the only people there for a Sunday lunch, and the food was fine, but not great, even for a buffet. The chicken was tender and the naan supple, but the veg dishes were clearly slowly overcooked in the chafing dishes.
We were seated by the window (probably to give the illusion of more people being there--something my wife realized), which was fine at first, as we could look out and see people walking by, but the novelty faded as the sun beat in on us. The waitstaff was initially inattentive to the point that I had to go get the pitcher of water to refill our glasses, though the service did improve over the course of the meal. It troubles me to write this, and I hope Aroma improves, because there's some potential here. I'll try their takeout next to see if it's an improvement.
If you love authentic, traditional fare, this is the place to get it! While I was photographing their menu, Aditya—the most personable owner—explained the complexities of Northern Indian cuisine to me. Then he sent me home with some of the most delicious Indian food I've ever tasted.
I ordered their lunch combo! Amazing deal on grubhub! Great price and great food.
5 stars especially for the Masala Chai. Too sweet but had great taste to it. Reminded me of a place called 'Quetta chai' from Karachi, Pakistan! Ah the authenticity.
Channa Masala was yummy! The naan was perfectly cooked! Rice was a bit sweet but the spice in the entrees had balanced it out.
WORST PLACE FOR BIRYANI! They have no idea what a biryani taste like because its definitely not sweet.
Overall, great price! Great comfort food. Would definitely recommend the Lunch combo.
But seriously, NOOOOO utensils?! Are you kidding me:((( that was a huge bummer for me!!!
This is a fake Indian restaurant, my wife and I paid $52 for the worst food ever. We left all the food on the table. True heart felt disappointment, how can someone just cook anything and call that an Indian Bistro just to make money. Amazing! P.S we didn't want to write anything, but then we thought it would not be fair to people who love or want to try Indian food for the first time.
